The Series DFX Ultrasonic Doppler Flow Meter is ideal for dirty liquids containing aeration or suspended solids.
Note: This meter requires transducers. See below for selection.
The Dynasonics Series DFX Ultrasonic Doppler Flow Meter measures the flow of liquids containing sonic reflectors (aeration, suspended solids, gas bubbles, etc). Ultrasonic sound waves are transmitted from the non-invasive transmitting transducer through the pipe wall and into the flowing liquid. These ultrasonic sound waves reflect off of the sonic reflectors and are received by the receiving transducer, similar to how radar works.
Several types of clamp-on transducers are available, including small pipe, high temperature, and insertion probe style (for pipe systems that do not permit ultrasound penetration).
The Series DFX is ideal for a wide range of applications, including wastewater, sludges, slurries, and liquids with aeration and suspended solids.
